About

LinPoch is a connectivity software suite which makes it possible to communicate with an Epoc 6 device, under Linux. LinPoch is a contraction of Linux and Epoch, as you might have expected.

When this software reaches full functionality, it will be possible to:

-1- be notified when the Epoc device is propally connected
-2- access files from the Epoc 6 device
-3- install .sis files to your Epoc device from your computer
-4- syncronize contacts, calendar and mail

The speed in which this develops currently depends on my available spare time, the analysis of the protocol used by the Epoc devices. I'm starting with -1- and -2-, see status

Though this suite will be portable, the main target of this software suite is Linux. It will be possible to write components for syncing with your favourate productivity software. This project will aim to provide this for KDE.

Goal

The main goal of LinPoch is to provide connectivity between Epoc 6 devices and Linux / UNIX, but mainly the Nokia 9210 cell phone. (The Nokia 9210 is the only Epoc 6 device I've in my possession :))
Secondary this software is ment to contribute to the open-source community with Linux and KDE in particular.

LinPoch is available under GPL.
